CenterPoint is reminding customers about the importance of calling 811 before digging on 811 Day, an annual awareness campaign dedicated to promoting safe digging practices. The utility company emphasizes that contacting 811 before any excavation work helps prevent dangerous encounters with underground utility lines, including gas, electric, and water pipes.
