President Trump on Sunday took questions from reporters in New Jersey before boarding Air Force One en route to Washington, DC, where he shared unhappiness with the continued fighting between Russia and Ukraine as he seeks to bring peace to the region. 
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Russia continues making steady advances in Ukraine and striking the Capital, Kiev, as NATO countries are dumping unprecedented amounts of military aid to support Ukraine.
President Trump was asked for an update on the war, and he condemned the actions by Putin.
“I don’t know what the hell happened to Putin. I’ve known him a long time, always gotten along with him, but he’s sending rockets into cities and killing people, and I don’t like it at all,” Trump said.
He further noted that this comes as they’re “in the middle of” negotiating an end to the war, and he’s “very surprised” by the move.
The President was also asked about an apparent drone assassination attempt against Putin. Russian Air Force Major-General Yuri Dashkin said that Putin’s helicopter was “virtually at the epicenter of repelling a large-scale attack by the enemy’s drones,” and that 46 drones were shot down during the attack on Sunday.
